Mrs. Morales

Principle/Elementary Teacher

"As for me and my house we will serve the Lord."

Joshua 24:15

My Story

Since its beginning, Renuevo Schools has been very close to my heart because I embrace its philosophy of serving the community.

I started working at Renuevo Schools as a receptionist at the start of the summer program around 1992. Then I started working on and off as a teacher around 2002 until May of 2016. I became principal in June of 2016 to present time.

  • Why did I choose to become a teacher?

Since I was little I had a desire to help other people but I did not know how to do it until I met someone with special needs and Intrigued by special education. As I attended college I found my passion to help others through education.

  • What makes me a good teacher?

I think that a good teacher first of all, needs to have God's love in him/her to be able to serve God by serving the students. If you look at it from this perspective, as a teacher, you will do your work with excellence because you are serving God and the students and parents will reap the benefits. A good teacher is not one that has all the answers, but one that will work with the students to figure out and find the answers together.

  • My Favorite things about teaching:

My favorite things are interacting with the students and the special bond that is created when I feel I am making a positive difference in someone else's life. Also helping someone who struggles with their education and seeing them thrive. At my work I also love the fact that I can share the love of Christ with my students and that is what makes all the difference in their lives.

  • Memories:

I have had many memories throughout the years but besides the classroom memories, I cherish the most, the ones we make being silly, playing and competing with or against the students. I find that those are the ones they remember the most. I can be a teacher, a friend, and a mentor.

  • Favorite Quote:

"The way we do small things, determines the way we do "I am available to students and parents and it is my privilege to serve them.

  • To Parents.....

I am available to students and parents and it is my privilege to serve them.

Mr. Baldelomar

Principle/Elementary Teacher

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

My Story

I have been working at Renuevo Schools since 1994. Renuevo Schools is a placer where I can teach and share my testimony about Jesus at the same time. Teaching eternal values is to me more important than any earthly subject I can teach. Renuevo Schools' theme theme Bible verse “The fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge”, (Proverbs 1:) sets this school apart from any public school which lacks this foundation in order for students to be successful as citizens in a social context and in their spiritual journey towards eternity.

  • Why did I choose to become a teacher?

It is a calling God has given me. He also gave me the gift of teaching, so in part my choice to be a teacher is in obedience to God’s calling. Also, my desire to share with a younger generation the key to success according to God’s word, which is obedience to his commandments, and how this affects in a positive way their understanding of any subject taught at schools. An excellent example of this principle is found in the story in the Bible of Daniel and his friends: “God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom. And God gave Daniel the special ability to interpret the meanings of visions and dreams.” Daniel 1.17 NLT.

  • What makes me a good teacher?

In my Christian perspective, if I am a good teacher it is because God has giving me that gift. So the foundation of any success in what I do is God. I believe He has giving the passion to help students understand not only the subjects that I teach, but to find a meaning and purpose of their lives according to God’s plan for them. In this sense, teaching goes beyond the classroom setting into a deeper relationship with the students.

  • My favorite things about teaching?

I enjoy to see former students thriving in society through their careers, but specially when they are serving God through it. This is my favorite part about teaching.

  • Memories:

I think one of my special memories is to have witnessed how former students became part of our teacher staff. There is a strong feeling of satisfaction being able to see how the passion for teaching is passed from one generation to another.

  • Favorite Quote:

“And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? I’m Is anything worth more than your soul?” — Jesus (Matthew 16:26)

"Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know

about things to come." Jeremiah 33:3

My Story

When I received the offer of working at Renuevo Schools I already had a job. I have had many experiences working with different ages so Renuevo Schools was not my only option. The idea of taking care a lot of grades intrigued me into wondering if God wanted me to take this route. Had all these years of different age group experiences been placed to prepare me for this? I prayed to God

asking for guidance and He reassured me that this is the place He wants me to serve Him. I have stayed working at Renuevo Schools for six years, since August 2017.

  • Why did I choose to become a teacher?

Besides loving to learn, I also loved the feeling of being helpful in some way. Among my friends were those that just did not understand the topic that was being taught, which gave me the opportunity to teach them. I remember getting really happy when they finally understood it. I had always wanted to become a teacher because I never wanted to work for my own needs. I wanted to work for a greater purpose and seeing my friends get better grades after I helped them made me pursue this career.

  • What makes me a good teacher?

I love to learn and I adapt easily to change. Whenever I do not know the answer to a question, I research it. My constant curiosity and my ability to find connections elsewhere drives my learning. In turn, I am able to teach to all the students who learn differently from each other. Additionally, I look at the individual person's actions as a part of the whole, so that if a student makes mistakes, I do not remind them of their previous mistakes and categorize them as such. (Being someone imperfect myself makes me see past their mistakes.) They have distinct personalities and each one of them is valuable. Their opinions matter and my task is to hear them and guide them to make the right choices.

  • My favorite things about teaching:

That moment when a child finally sees himself/herself the way you saw them when you first met them: capable, smart, indispensable and loved. That is my favorite moment. Most of the students I meet come with some type of experience that makes them doubt this and when they start to believe how I see them, that memory stays in my mind forever.

  • Memories:

I remember the little things most of which involves personal matters that were shared with me about their lives and how we got through them together. I also remember all the times my students chose to act silly in front of me; when they trusted me enough to see them acting like a small child or when they would laugh about a silly mistake I made. I remember their struggles as much as their triumphs -- those moments when I wasn't so sure if they were understanding a concept and they surprise me by answering a question given to the entire class. I will always remember meeting them for the first time, getting to know them and having the privilege to teach them. Their words and facial expressions motivate me to continue to teach.

"Let all that you do be done in love."

1 Corinthians  16:4

My Story

I chose to work at Renuevo Schools because I have the opportunity and blessing to witness God's amazing and faithful work in students' lives. I have the privilege to see students' growth spiritually and academically every year.  Another reason why I chose to work at Renuevo is because I have the honor to be part of the ministry that serves the community through an excellent education. I have been working at Renuevo Schools for 14 years. I started working as a Teacher Assistant in 2009 and then became a full time Teacher in 2014. I have a total of 9 years teaching young children at Renuevo.

  • Why did I choose to become a teacher?

I chose to become a teacher because that is my calling. Since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to teach. I always wanted to make a difference in children's lives by letting them know that they are important and loved. I know that through education I am making a difference in the present as in the future. Teaching young children adequately is a great responsibility and making sure to provide what they need in order to bloom strong on a strong foundation is vital for their success spiritually and academically.

  • What makes me a good teacher?

What makes me a good teacher is trusting God that he equips me every day to work with children. I know I am an instrument in his hands and I know that every child that God allows me to work with is a blessing, that will continue shaping my life for his glory. I do care and love every student that passes through my class. Undoubtedly, each students take a special place in my heart.

  • My favorite thing about teaching:

One of my favorite things about teaching is seeing children's faces light up when they realize they are capable of doing more of what they think they can. I also enjoy listening to their hilarious and creative stories they share everyday. I absolutely love and enjoy teaching the Word of God to my students every morning. I truly enjoy having the opportunity to dedicate time and offer my skills and knowledge to my students and see the positive outcomes.

  • Memories:

There are so many special and memorable experiences at Renuevo but the ones that have touched me the most are when children express their love for God through prayer, praise, drawings, letters, testimonies and change of behavior. I also treasure the experience of witnessing children realizing that they are capable of accomplishing more than what they think they can is priceless. Other memories that are important to me are the group projects they work on Art, Science and Social Studies. I love their interactions and how their creative ideas become a team effort and an awesome group project.

  • Favorite Quote:

“Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Do not stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children” Matthew 19:14

  • To Parents:

I want parents to know that I am here to serve their child and them in way I can. I am a teacher that values teamwork and communication with parents. Meaning, when parents and I become a team to support the learning of their child, positive results are noticeable. When children understand and make the connection that just as at school good behavior, and responsibility of completing work is expected, it is the same at home too.
